  1. All around the world people were affected by slavery. According to Merriam-Webster dictionary slavery is defined as “a person who is the property of and wholly subject to another; a bond servant”. Slavery is banned and considered unlawful in many parts of the world. The original slaves were prisoners of war. The most famous slaves, however, were the African slaves in early America.
The slaves themselves were affected by slavery and not just because they were slaves. When Europeans first landed in Africa they traded with the coastal tribes. Those tribes went inland and not only stole people from other tribes but gave the Europeans their own prisoners of war. The slaves were transported to America via ship. Most often they were housed in very cramped conditions. Upon arrival in America the Africans were auctioned off to rich plantation owners in the south and sometimes to farmers in the north. The Africans were then forced to work the fields from dawn till dusk and were subjected to brutal beating. The slaves were affected by slavery because they were being forcibly taken from their homes and auctioned off like furniture.
The slave owners were affected by slavery because they were the owners. A majority of slave owners lived in the Southern colonies because they had huge amounts of land with crops on it that needed to be harvested. White people weren’t going to do it. They considered themselves a superior race. When the first slave ships brought an inferior race, i.e. the Africans, the plantation owners jumped at the chance to have free labor working in their fields. The slave owners were affected by slavery because their view of how the world should work was forever changed.

Abolitionists were affected by slavery as well. An abolitionist is a white man who believed in equal rights for all man. Most abolitionists were dedicated to helping slaves escape their masters and get to Canada. If an abolitionist was caught they were subject to a similar punishment as the escaped slaves. The abolitionists were affected because they uprooted their lives and put their life and the lives of their families at risk to help the slaves escape to freedom.

  2. Slaves have a big impact on us in today’s society. If you know about slavery, than you know how much they have been through. Slaves were never treated fairly. They were practically owned by someone. In some places it was legal for the owner to kill a slave. Everyone was affected by the slaves in bad ways and even good ways. According to Wiki Answers, “everybody was affected in the United States, Canada and other places. The whites and the blacks but the blacks especially who were the slaves.”

Slave owners are the People who own and run the slaves. They tell them what to do and when to do it. About 380,000 of the white population owned slaves. Out of that population they owned at least 20 slaves per person. The owners that had a lot of land would have well over 100 slaves. These owners were well impacted by slavery mainly in a good way.

The main group of people that actually wanted to do away with slavery would be the Abolitionists. They affected the slaves and the owners of slaves also. They helped slaves escape to freedom. These people made The Underground Railroad. Witch was a main organization in today’s society.

  3. Slaves themselves have had a huge impact on this world we live in today. They are apart of our history and without them, the society wouldn’t be what it is now. Slaves have been through a lot. Most of them not treated in a respectful manner. Most were beaten, forced to work over the limit, and some were raped. This was a daily routine for slaves. All of these things also depended on the slave owners.

Slave owners had their own way of raising what they owned. Some slave owners were willing to negotiate with the slaves. But others were the abusive ones. They didn’t respect the slaves in anyway. They treated them as if they were nothing. In some cases, slave owners murdered their slaves because something may not have been proficient enough. To be a respected slave owner – to other slave owners- you couldn’t have had a heart.

Abolitionist also had a huge impact on this history. They were people who believed that people are people and the rights shouldn’t vary according to ethnicity. Abolitionist stood up for slaves and helped them escape from their prison. These people risked their lives and their loved one’s lives for what they believed in. And because of that, they are well respected to this day.

  4. Slaves had a very big impact on our world as we see it. Without them many of the things we have today and many of the rules that run our world wouldnt be even thought of. Slaves have taken alot and were treated very badly. They were put through harsh treatments and were owned by people who didn't care about them, and made them do everything in their home with little no payment. Without them and their fight to freedom our entire world would still be segregated and in slavery. We as african americans owe them alot because without them we might've been still subject to the punishment that our ancestors had to deal with.

Not all Slave owners were bad people. While yes they did own "people" and make them do everything in the feilds and in the homes not all of them were the abusive type, some of them were "fair" and treated slaves like they were people instead of dogs. Majority of the caucasion population owned slaves and im not talking about one. The minimum amount of slaves owned was about 15 depending the size of the land they owned.

"An abolitionist was a person who wanted to do away with slavery. In the 1830's abolitionists began to speak out in public." Without slavery there would've been no need for abolitionists. These are the people that helped our world to be free from slavery. Abolitionists many of the time were arrested, beaten, mangled, physically and mentally abused. The police didnt care about them just as they didnt care about the slaves. Many slaves that escaped or were freed began to speak out as abolitionist.

  5. A slave was a person who was stolen or purchased from their homeland. They were used for labor. They did not receive pay, could not get education, and were badly abused if they did not work. They do manual, back breaking labor for absolutely nothing.

A slave owner was a person that owned slaves. They would buy or steal these people and make them do hard, manual labor for absolutely no pay. If they chose not to work, they would beat and abuse the slaves like they weren't even human beings. Some people say some slave owners weren't bad, but if you can actually say you own someone like they are property... Your not a good person.

An abolistionist was a person who fought to free slaves. These people were very brave because, although many people did not like slavery, these people actually spoke out. They got their voices heard by the public. They were not afraid to voice their opinion.

  6. Slavery has made a big impact on society. Slavery has shaped our world. Millions of Africans died in slave ships en route from Africa to America. A lifetime of bondage awaited those who survived the trip. When the African Americans came to America they were sold to the highest bidder. Then they were forced to work without pay. I think slavery got started because people were too lazy to work in their own fields or just too cheap to pay anybody.

Slave owners they would buy and sold slaves. They made them work in the fields all day. If the slaves didn’t complete the task that was given to them their owners would beat them. Most owners treated the slaves like dogs or less than that. They wouldn’t feed the slaves healthy food they gave those scraps and whatever else was left over.

Abolitionist spoke out against slavery in the 1830’s until 1870. They were the only ones who tried to do anything about slavery. The abolitionist used the Underground Railroad to help free the slave.

  7. Slaves were used through out the history of mankind. That’s how the great pyramids were built. Its how many great things were made and accomplished. But there were three major groups in the United States when slavery hit us. Slaves, slave owners, and abolitionists were the major groups.

Slaves in any matter or case always got the short end of the stick. Physical and mental abuse. Physical by them getting beat and punished, but mental from not being taught anything except manual labor. They were not looked upon like human, but like animals instead. Someone or something lower than the average man. They got paid nothing for their work on farms and as servants. The only thing they got was enough food to get them through the next day maybe.

Slave owners got the much better end of the deal. They had workers working on their crops and serving them for nothing except for a meal every other day at least. They could take their anger out on any of their workers. They owned living and moving property that would be called anything, and would do anything all for nothing.

The abolitionists didn’t really get anything out of slavery except a warm heart. They were the people who opposed slavery. The men and women who spoke out to the public, they were public figures to abolish slavery. These were the people who risked their lives, their families’ lives, and friends lives to free slaves. Many of them would guide slaves to free states or free territories. Many of them made it, but a lot also did not make it.

  8. Slaves were the underclassman. That means that the had to work for their Owner. They had to do any thing their Owner tell them to. If they didnt listen they would get punish for it. Back in the late 1600s mostly all African Americans were slaves. Even 8 years old were slaves they used to make them work on the field getting cotton for the fabric or the ladies would work in the kitchen.

Slaves Owners were the people who buy the slave so they can have them work for them. Half the slave owners were nice but the rest of them was mean, because they would do anything to see the slaves suffer and the slaves couldn't do anything to defend their self. The slaves owner knew that the Africans Americans couldn't do anything to them so use to take advantage of them. In til this day some old people still believed that Africans Americans are below them and they would show little bit respect to them. Their still races

abolitionists were the people who disagreed about slavery. They really tried to help slaves become free by making underground railroad. They didn't believe that it was right to be doing the stuff like that to human being. Thanks to Abolitionists some slaves were free and they wont have to be in that pain anymore

  9. slaves were taken from their homeland by force or they were purchased from family members who were in dire need of money and they were forced into hard labor. slaves were packed into ships with hundreds of other slaves with less then adequate space to hold them all. most slaves died on the trip, either from rotten food, untreated wounds, drowning, or even being beaten to death by slave runners. once the slaves got to their new "home" they were quickly auctioned off to the highest bidder.

some slave owners purchased slaves to give them a opportunity of one day being free. these slave owners still worked their slaves so they could receive a profit from them but they weren't worked as hard as most slaves. the rest of the slave owners which was most of them, treated the slaves with no respect and no dignity and they gave the slaves little to no food and sleep and were worked till they died. when slaves would get sick they wouldn't receive any care and would eventually end up dying, this whole process was sped up because the slave owners wouldn't feed their slaves if they didn't work.

Abolitionists were people who didn't agree with slave owners and they believed that all men were created equal. they risked their lives, and most of the time, gave their lives so that slaves wouldn't have to. they were constantly persecuted because they were caught giving safe haven to runaway slaves. unlike the slave owners the abolitionists didn't seek to gain anything from the slaves they just saw slavery as wrong and wanted to stop it.

  10. Slaves made up how we live today. Slaves taught us how to live for our rights and freedom. They knew how unhumane it was to work as slaves. They worked long hours of labor, for bad housing. Many of the slaves fought for their lives fighting off slavery. This impacted how slaves were seen in the world. Canged for everyone.

Slave owners impacted slavery by the way they treated slaves. They showed how unhumane they were and cule. Some of the slave owners were gererouse enough to compromise with the slaves for eather food, housing. Slave ownerswere a bad influence thoughout the world and it was a crule way to live.

Aboliionists helped free slavery. Supported the slaves to help free them. Especially in the united states. They wanted to free slaves by anymeans nessesary including fighting back, strikes ,and boycott. The belife in freedom. The way they wanted to make sociaty as equals. Embraced how slavery was wrong and why should it be stoped.

  11. Slaves were impacted by slavery by being forcefully taken from their homes. After they were taken from their home, they were packed into ships with barely any room to breathe. There would be hundreds of them in the ship at once. Most of the slaves died before they even reached their destination. Some died from lack of food, infection from untreated wounds, and by being beaten to death by the slave runners. Some even drown when they tried to escape by jumping off the ship. Once they reached their destination, they were then sold to the highest bidder. They were then forced to work and get nothing in return.
Most slave owners treated slaves horribly. They viewed slaves as tools at their disposal. The slave owners got workers for little or no cost to them.
Abolitionists believed that all men were equal. They often risked, and gave, their lives to fight for what they believed in. They also gave “safe havens” to runaway slaves. If they were caught they were persecuted.

  12. The slaves were impacted by slavery, obviously, because they were being sold and abused. They could, normally, never be freed. Each slave had a "duty" to their master, and if they denied argued or refused to do as they were told they would be punished. They were fed less food than the animals, and even sometimes were forced to sleep outside with absolutely no sheltter.

The slave owners were affected because they got the thought into their head that they could own another human being. That they had complete controll over them and could do anything with them. Not all slave owners were like this, some bought slaves and only used them for a while and set them free. Maybe they thought they would stay there and continue helping them, for a small fee, but no one can know that. This made some people very arogant and was one of the main reasons for the civil war.

Abolitionists were given a reason to speak up. They thought that slavery was wrong and some of them took a stand to get others to help. There were some abolitionists who were actually attacked for thinking that the slaves were human, because most of the county viewed them as things, or property. There were many abolitionists who lost thier lives fighting for what they thought was right. They devised the inderground railroad to get these slaves up north to freedom. They were given a problem and a reason to solve it, and motivation to do good, and they did.

  13. As my sources says, Slavery is a system in which people are the property of others, . They were, as i may say, "underclassmen". They worked for their owners with little or usually no pay at all. They had to do anything, when i say anything, I mean ANYTHING their owners told them to do. If the slaves didnt obey they would get punished. That punishment was anything the owners literally felt like doing. Even little kids were slave back than. Kids, that are suppose to be going to school and have it easy were SLAVES.

The slaves owner were basically the horrible people, as i call them. They were the people that bought the slaves to work for them. Most of the slave owners were cruel. Their were only a few that were good people. Most of the owners gave the slaves a hard time. In some places it was legal for an owner to kill a slave. In others it was a crime to kill a slave.

An abolitionist was a person who wanted to do away with slavery. They thought thast slavery was wrong. It wasn't until the 1830's they started to speak out. There were the ones that stood up for people that were slaves. They gave the slavs hope, for once.

  15. The Slaves were greatly impacted by slavery because they were the ones being forced to work and being sold from person to person. The slaves are the ones who were seperated from their families and worked to death. If their ammount of effort wasn't satisfactory, they were whipped. The slaves in my oppinion were impacted the most.

The Slave owners were impacted because they gained workers to work in their feilds and harvest their crops, take care of their kids, etc. The slave owners had the easy lives with the slaves around. They didn't have to do much work and could just buy and sell slaves like merchandise.

The Abolitionists tried to help free the slaves with the underground railroad. They would hide escapeing slaves and help them to freedom. It was not always succesful but it did free many, many, many slaves. They would hide the slaves in secret rooms and feed them and let them regain their energy before continueing on their journey to freedom.

  16. Slaves have created such an impact on the world today. Slavery has known to occur in ancient civilizations. It has shaped the world and is why we live the way we do today. Slavery was a way to use other people to get work done for free. The most well-known “slaves” is the African Slave Trade that happened in the Americas. The slaves were affected by slavery because they were treated like objects. It split many families apart and created lots of conflict. It impacted them because they treat human beings as items to be bought and sold. It was very inhuman.

Slave owners where the people who bought slaves to use them to execute specific tasks. For example, they give them orders on what to do on there fields where there crops grew. Most slave owners lived down south because they had tons of land and had lots of crops that they grew. They took the opportunity of buying slaves so that they could use them to work on the field. This impacted all slave owners because it was a lot easier to get work done and make more money because the slaves didn’t need to be payed. All the slaves worked for free. This changed the way work was done.

Abolitionists is a group of people that wanted to do way with slavery. They wouldn’t even exist if it was not for slavery. They helped and made a big impact on society because they created arguments and fought for slaves to be free. They helped slaves a lot. They created, for example, the underground railroad to help slaves escape from there slave owners. If an Abolitionist was ever caught for do such crime they could be in a lot of trouble. They impacted slavery in many ways and we the slaves were grateful to have them.

  17. Slaves, the people who kept America running at a point in time. They were bought and sold like cattle. America used slavery to do all the work they didn't want to do, or felt they didn't have to do. Slaves were affected by slavery because they treated them like "dogs", and that's sugar coating it, instead of humans. Also many slaves didn't know who their actual family was becasue at birth they were split up to do someone else's work.

Slave owners, some of the worst people that have lived in America. They are the ones who bought, sold, and traded the slave and seperated families. Down in the Southern stated slavery was more popular due to the mass crops they had; also it was where the slave owners were more brutal. Slavery affected them by helping them get their work done without them actually having to work.

Abolitionist were the fighters, the ones who faught for the abolishment of slavery. They are the ones who were risking their lives to help out slaves and faught in the Civil War for our freedom. This impacted slavery because they caused the Civil War which ended slavery.

  18. Slaves were effected by the fact that they were the working force of America while they were still around. Having no rights or proper place of living, they were work horses in order to farm and mass produce items to make America more wealthy.

Slave owners were almost "masters of trade" in America. Although they were cruel and heartless, they still knew how to gain wealth in many different ways that others never knew of before. Although they had unethical ways of treating people who they had "bought" because they are slaves, they still knew how to keep the trade "bloodline" flowing.

The Abolitionists were the people who tried to liberate the slaves. Everyday they fought for the slaves, and put their lives, wealth, reputation, and loved ones on the line in order to give slaves freedom.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Slaves were known as the bottom class. They were pulled away from their familes and forced to work. They didn't get paid at all and they were treated very poorly. Slavery also affected them in a great deal because most of them didn't know how to read or wright OR couldn't get the education they wanted because their owners wouldn't allow it. They also had NO rights, NO freedom to speak, and were under forced labor.

For slave owners, it depended how slavery affected them. Some slave owners weren't really slave owners. They were nice people who bought slaves just to let them be free for awhile, but most slave owners were horrible and mean and foreced them to work. So it affected them in a good or bad way.

The abolitionists were the poeple that wanted to free the slaves. They put lots of things at risk just to libertate the slaves.

  20. Slavery made a very big impact to the African American in the Unite States. Slavery changed their whole way of living. It changed their traditions, their language, their music, their food, their clothing, their values, their culture. Slavery impacted slaves the most out of every one else involved. slavery transformed those slaves completely.

Slavery impacted slave owner in a good way because they had the slaves to do the work for them and the saved a lot of money. For example if a farmer used to work at his farm but then he/she got a slave, he/she could lay back and relax while his/her slave is doing the work for them. It was better for them to have a slave than hiring a worker because they would need to pay the worker but they didn't need to pay the slave if they didn't want to.

Slavery touched Abolitionist's heart in a way that made them start a conflict in government in order to give the slaves their freedom. Slavery was a motivations to abolitionist to speak out and do what was right. Slavery gave abolitionist a chance to be brave and be remembered in history.
